Local businesses come together to create a welcoming environment for the Michiana Women's Conference.

Our heart for the community continues to carry over into the Marketplace, supporting local merchants. We are thrilled to highlight businesses from the surrounding communities that will be at the conference, who will be bringing their handcrafted and handpicked items just for YOU. This will give you the opportunity to shop, peruse and mingle in your free time with friends and hopefully connecting with new ones! *Marketplace hours are above.

Join Us for an Opportunity to Support Local Nonprofits

We are excited to have the chance to bring awareness and support two local Christian organizations, Rooted of St. Joseph County and YFC Southwest Michigan during the Michiana Women's Conference this year. We feel called to help these organizations that are making a significant impact on our communities and future generations. We are honored to have them here with us at this event.

On Saturday, October 15, we will have the opportunity throughout the day to take a love offering, which will be split evenly between the two organizations and presented to them at the end of the day. All monies collected for this purpose will go directly to these organizations to be used towards their missions. We hope you will join us in supporting these amazing ministries working hard to make a difference in kids’ lives, impacting families! Thank you, Rooted and YFC, for all that you do!

Nonprofit Organization

We formed in the fall of 2019 because we recognized that there are so many broken families that need help in our community.

We aim to provide every child going through a traumatic transition in our community with their basic needs, so that they can shamelessly enter their new placement home with their very own clothing, shoes, seasonal gear (boots, coats, hat & gloves), bathroom and hygienic supplies, towels, and bed sheets – all packed in a new, blue duffel bag that we also provide.  Though most of our clothing is gently used (except socks and underwear), everything else we provide, from shoes to hair spray to bed sheets, is brand new.

We also offer supplemental supplies depending on the need and situation, such as racially-diverse hair care products, lice kits, professional grade, melt-away dryer bags for bed bug concerns, diapers, wipes, formula, and gift cards, if we don’t have something on hand.

In addition, we also desire to provide critical  items that the placement home or family may be in need of—bed frames, mattresses, changing tables, and more.

We are uncovering God's story of hope in the next generation. We actively pursue 11-19 year-olds who are walking through pivotal and story-shaping moments. Young people can often feel overlooked, and it's our passion to make them feel seen, heard, and valued. Our aim is to be a steady voice and presence in their lives, intentionally postured as a humble and authentic mentor. We do this by trips and events throughout the year, having free weekly Campus Life clubs in local school districts, and building authentic Christ-sharing relationships with local teenagers.

Mary Ann Baker's husband, Martin, is a local fur trapper in Michigan, which first started as a hobby. About four years ago after their first baby girl, they wondered what it might be like, or if it was even possible to make a real fur pom pom (the kind you see on top of beanies) for her winter hat. They turned out so adorable, that we posted a couple of photos and their business took off from there!

Martin traps and tans all of his own furs and they turn them into adorable pom poms for beanies. They make the poms removable so they can be used with any knit beanie. They also make custom orders.

Their toddler hats have double pom poms, and are their best sellers! They feel so blessed by the relationships they have started from sharing this craft with others. It’s neat to see the connections God makes.
