"Hosanna to the Son of David!
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!
Hosanna in the highest heaven!"
We see Jesus’ humility in how he entered Jerusalem; the King of kings entered riding on a donkey. Jesus entered the city knowing He would be beaten, tried, and crucified, what an overwhelming feeling that must have felt like. It brings tears of deep sorrow when I think of what He endured for us, knowing the betrayal and pain that was to come. It also brings tears of deep gratitude, knowing how undeserving I am, to think that He loved me enough to take my sin upon His shoulders so that I could have eternal life.
He took the weight of the world upon His shoulders for us. We needed rescuing, our sin was heavy, and the beautiful thing is that the chains broke at the weight of His glory! His mercy and deep love that saved us and that, my friend, is worthy of praise. Jesus walked obediently according to the will of God so that He could rescue us. He was beaten, mocked, and crucified, but it did not end there, friends! On the third day, He rose again! He is alive! Oh, what a glorious day!
Oh, praise Him! Praise Him for His sacrifice. Praise Him for His deep love for us. And praise Him for rising from the dead so that we could be set free. Jesus paid our debt. He paid it all & I am forever indebted to Him.
As we enter this week leading up to the cross and what Jesus did for each of us. I pray that we will take the time to pause and reflect on the wonder of God’s abundant love for us.
In His love,
